In 2001 S.I.F.E.A. has put into operation a furnace for the execution of heat treatments on dished heads, tanks, equipment and various structures.
All types of heat treatments up to 1000°C are carried out (normalization, tempering, stress relieving) with controlled cooling in calm air.
The treated products are all equipped with its thermal diagram.

For heat treatments with higher temperatures (e.g. solution heat-treatment), we commission independent firms.

S.I.F.E.A. employs the services of specialized independent firms with qualified operators registered with the Italian Shipping Register for said testing, which includes:

• X-rays
• penetrating liquids
• magnetic-particle testings
• ultrasonic testings

In this case, S.I.F.E.A. again employs the services of specialized independent firms with SINAL-approved laboratories (SINAL is the Italian system for the accreditation of laboratories), equipped to perform:

• mechanical testings on metals
• metallographic inspections
• investigations into defects and breakages
• chemical analyses

Performed in accordance with the main standards and certification bodies, like PED, ISPESL, TUV, ASME, RINA, AFNOR, DET NORSKE VERITAS, LLOYD'S REGISTER, BUREAU VERITAS, ecc.

S.I.F.E.A. can arrange transport of any kind, size and weight nationwide in Italy. Exceptionally large or heavy loads are carried with a Public Safety Authority escort.
